The Path Departing From The Hermetic Tradition: To “Be God” Or To Serve The Divine Purpose?

Parting Ways With Hermetic Thought

I sometimes leave the book I am reading halfway. The Hermetic Tradition book became such a book. I do not know if all Hermetics are like this, but since the general structure of thought in this book is upon feeding selfishness, there is a side of it that does not sit well with me.

In summary, on page one hundred and twenty-two of the three-hundred-page book, I am stopping reading this book. The thought "If I cannot change the world, I should change myself" becomes wrong or right depending on how we apply this. If we think that we cannot change the world alone, that we cannot change ourselves either, that we need the help of the right environment for this, that we need to work in the right environment and in the right way for this, we can transform ourselves into a sacred human for the benefit of the whole world.

According to the Hermetic tradition, the world is already full of bad, cruel, weird, illogical things. Since that is so, I attribute a meaning to these according to myself. I become desensitized to everything that gives me pain, makes me sad, makes me angry, and I ignore others. I speak a symbolic, special language with a group of emotionless people who have the same thought as me, ordinary people do not understand this language anyway… Something like that.

English is not my native language but by means of artificial intelligence and with my superior perseverance (smilingly and with patience), I have read almost half of the book.

The Difference Between “Being God” And “Being Similar To God”

With an understanding that says God has no emotions, it tries to catch book readers from an issue that I also defend very much. "I will be like God" turns into the idea of "I will be God" here.

I also use the idiom of being like God frequently but for this purpose: God or nature gives all kinds of raw materials for the human to live, feed, shelter. And if the human wants to be like God, they should behave like this towards other living beings as much as they can. What I mean is not “being God”, but “being similar to God”, transforming into a sacred warrior inside an ordinary animal body. Instead of waging this war to become desensitized to the housing and food problems against the sufferings of others, to use it to discipline our animal desires that see ourselves as a superior being and want to eat much more cake than others. To be able to look at it with serious eyes and say, “Now you can eat this one slice of carrot cake, but with the energy you get from it, you will do something for the sake of everyone in the world being able to bake carrot cake in their oven, you only deserve this cinnamon walnut cake with plenty of cream in this way.”

The Hermetic Delusion: Self-Deception And Divine Distance

Those who comply with the Hermetic tradition, I guess, were going on strict diets and spending sleepless days too. These are definitely not true. If we are fat, we eat less food and that is it. Saying “I will be God, He does not eat food, I will not eat either” would only be deceiving oneself. How can someone who looks around with emotionless eyes, who shows off saying look how I have not slept for ten days be God?

Anyway, if you are a Hermetic traditionist, I did not want to hide the truth from you. You will never be God Himself directly. If you divide existence into two and say those who comply with the Hermetic tradition are God, and the others are not, you are already contradicting yourself. How can we say that a man suffering from hunger at the other end of the world is outside of God? Hungry or full, good or bad, everything is included in God.

If we are working to guarantee food for everyone, safe shelter for everyone, and “love your neighbor as yourself” education for everyone, we are closer to God; if we bake carrot cake only for ourselves and want to eat it all ourselves, we become that far from God. If we want to be even further away, we can be a Hermetic who does not even give a slice of cake to himself and thinks “I became God, look how I am not eating cake like a God.”

I think like this. If there is a humble Hermetic person who deems this text worthy of reading, maybe they will not be a Hermetic anymore. Anyway, ultimately I am closing the cover of this book for now and wishing inner peace to Julius Evola and his followers.

The Semantic Shift Of Words: The “Pavyon” Example

Today I learned something new: That the word Pavilion (Pavyon in Turkish) has another meaning. When we say Pavilion (Pavyon), places where men drink until they vomit, laugh with hostesses, lose themselves with loud music come to our minds in Turkey. It does not mean this anywhere in the world. Pavilion means exhibition palace, for example, the Revan Kiosk in Topkapi Palace is a pavilion at world standards.

Economic problems harm not only the relationships between people but also the way language is used. The meaning of words changes and deteriorates from generation to generation. It is no longer possible to make the correct meaning of the word Pavilion, the real duties of these venues accepted in Turkey.

Why do we make women dance on a platform? Why do we turn them into hostesses? Why do they have to do jobs that do not fit human dignity to provide food and shelter? And why do we paste a word of such quality that could almost be a girl's name like pavilion as a label on these ugly behaviors of ours?

The same situation happened to the word “Führer” which means “leader” for Germans. That is, normally the whole world uses the word leader with its real meaning but the moment you say leader that is “Führer” in Germany, people's hairs stand on end. For them, there is only one Führer and that is Adolf Hitler.

Universal Definitions For The Sacred Law And Our Debt To The Next Generation

We can understand better now why we need to redefine words. Making a universal definition of the sacred law of love your neighbor as yourself and ensuring it means the same thing wherever we are in the world will be the most basic duty of this generation. We can define this as follows:

  1. Food for everyone
  2. Safe living space for everyone
  3. Love your neighbor as yourself education

They will ask questions: How will food for everyone be? We will answer: By covering the whole earth with food forests, by guaranteeing every human in need to harvest.

They will ask questions: How will safe shelter for everyone be? We will answer: By constructing a livable residence for the baby to be born from natural materials with 3D technology immediately for the baby in the womb the moment a woman gets pregnant, by guaranteeing their sheltering throughout their life.

They will ask questions: How is the “love your neighbor as yourself” law obeyed? We will answer: We will place cameras controlled by artificial intelligence-supported automation systems everywhere. We will not do anything to others that we do not want for ourselves. We will work to improve food forests and safe living spaces, to improve the living conditions of our neighbors, and guarantee that this is recorded. We will adopt a one hundred percent transparent lifestyle that will eliminate all excuses for not obeying this law.

Dilbers (beauties) will turn into chaste women whose food and shelter are always guaranteed. Pavilions will turn into temples where people repeat the sacred law. Führer will turn into the leader of food for everyone, safe living space for everyone, and “love your neighbor as yourself” education.

This is our debt to the next generation. This is the only loan debt we have to pay. Its credit is our lifespan. Those who do not pay will come back to this ugly world. Until the debt is collected!
