Do Talents Really Fail Because Of Systems, Or Because Basic Needs Are Not Met?

A Crowded Childhood And Early Responsibilities

When I was little, I attended different schools where there were many children from different income groups.
My father was a civil servant.
This automatically made me a middle-class child economically.
But there was a problem: our family was very crowded.
I have four siblings.
In addition, my parents took care of the children of our relatives or working neighbors in exchange for payment.
In fact, it was not our parents who took care of these children, but us.
So we raised each other.

Growing Up Without Time For Talents

As I grew up, I continued to draw and paint.
My parents did not stop me, but they did not have enough time to support me either.
My mother was busy preparing meals for the crowded household,
and my father was busy earning the money to buy those meals.
We did not have much time to devote to music, sculpture, painting, or learning languages.
I saw that most of my siblings also discovered their talents very late,
and that they could only find the courage to show them to others at much older ages.

Meeting The Three Fundamental Needs

For this reason, I decided not to waste time criticizing economic systems.
After I got married, I was able to meet my three fundamental needs thanks to my spouse:

  1. Sufficient and healthy food,
  2. A safe living space,
  3. An educational environment that gives life meaning.

When you provide these three fundamental needs to anyone,
you will see that their creativity, entrepreneurship, and desire to be useful to others increase rapidly.

What Human Beings Actually Need

Human beings have only three fundamental needs:

  1. Food,
  2. Safe shelter,
  3. Education about the meaning of life.

We define people according to how securely they have access to these three opportunities.
We label them rich, poor, or middle class based on how guaranteed these needs are.
If you have these, you can now freely develop your talents and be useful to others.
Let us not forget that this is the first step for all of us.
Success stories can only be written immediately after these basic needs are met.

Why These Needs Are Not Shared

Dry farming, food forests, natural and safe shelters, organic vegetables—
all of these can be achieved everywhere in the world and in every climate,
according to local geographical conditions.

So why can’t everyone access these three fundamental needs safely and reliably?
Because, in truth, we do not want to share them.
Instinctively, we want to be superior to others.
When we do a good deed, we also want it to be seen and appreciated.
Otherwise, why would we do good?
This is our flawed nature.

Setting A Clear Purpose

Now it is time to set a strong purpose.
I will buy one acre of land.
There will be a safe, simple house on it.
In its garden, I will grow edible vegetables and fruit trees.
I will build an education corridor,
and those who pass through this corridor will acquire the spiritual value of “love your neighbor as yourself.”

I will ensure that this area becomes a model practice zone,
where food, safe shelter, and education about the meaning of life are provided for everyone.
I will share the process with you.

A Collective Effort, Not A Personal Dream

So after doing this, will I take my coffee
and watch the stars shining on a night reminiscent of The Starry Night painting?
No.
We will do this together.

I will continue drawing watercolor illustrations, writing books, and giving talks.
I will work to realize this ideal.
Every year, I will expand the amount of land as much as my means allow,
and I will increase the amount of natural living spaces together with food forests with all my strength,
in order to leave a system as a legacy to humanity.

Right now, I am planning and sharing;
in the future, as opportunities arise, I will implement it.

An Open Invitation To Humanity

While writing this section, it occurred to me that perhaps someone else might have the means to bring my project to life.
If that is the case, I would be very happy.
Please take my idea and use it to adapt it to real life in any way you wish.
If you want, present it as your own project.

This ideal is so great that it cannot belong to me or to anyone else.
Feeding all humanity,
providing safe living spaces for all humanity,
and instilling the ideal of “love your neighbor as yourself” in them—
why should this belong to me?

I already support everyone who will turn this ideal into reality.
