How Can We Use The Memory Palace Method More Effectively For The Sacred Purpose?
New Goals And Methods In Memory Palace Study
I have mentioned the memory palace and how I use it enough in my last three articles. Now I will develop this style of study a little bit to make it even more suitable for my purpose. I need to define exactly what I want to do here. This is extremely important for both me and the reader.
I want to memorize frequently used English words within example sentences. I want to continue explaining my ideal of guaranteeing the three basic needs. I want to use my own illustrations as memory palaces as a memorization method. In this case, I must organize the example sentences in such a way that my website and my social media do not break away from the subject of guaranteeing the three basic needs, which is my main goal. Let my example sentences always be in the direction of this purpose.
I will start working on this today. The illustration I want to use in this study is a section of the School of Athens painting. You can also use the original painting. If you want to get more effective results, you can also use my illustrations. I will share my new coloring book, consisting of drawings that also include sections from the School of Athens painting, with you as soon as possible. Here nothing is for sale! Anyone who wishes can download my pictures to their own computer and start studying. There is only one single value valid here: Accepting the guaranteeing of the three basic needs for all humanity as a sacred law. Ask your heart; if your heart says yes, all drawings belong to you as much as they belong to me. As long as we have used them for the right purpose.
Why Are We Making Preparations Instead Of Taking Action Immediately?
It is not possible to understand all at once why I attach so much importance to this subject. For instance, why do we write stories like this instead of going and planting trees immediately? If we have an ideal of food for everyone, why do we not immediately set tables and start sharing our bread? There is a very important reason for this. If we do not make preparations, we will fail. History is full of bitter examples in this regard. Whenever the welfare of society is implemented by a law without a large community of people wanting it, this implementation results in frustration.
Actually, this is so in every subject. If we prepare well for the exam, the questions in the exam come easy. The harder the questions we solve before the exam, the questions in the exam look like child's play to us. We are also memorizing the sacred law first. We are learning first; we are testing ourselves constantly so that when the turn comes to truly sharing the bread, we do not get confused and freeze.
Practice With The Animal Merchant On The School Of Athens Painting
There will be twelve sentences in total that we will memorize on the illustration of a section of the School of Athens painting. I organized all twelve sentences in a way that will connect them to the main subject of guaranteeing the three basic needs. Our subject this time will be the “Animal Merchant.”
We are starting:
1. “The Animal Merchant secures shelter for the mother and her children.”
In the part numbered one, there is a hand leaning on a chin. I imagine an animal merchant on this hand. The animal merchant builds a shelter here, puts a fence around it, and hangs a sign saying this place is under guarantee. Since all these events are on the hand leaning on the chin, the hand bones rise in the form of hills, and children and their mother come out from behind these hills and settle safely in this shelter. I also think that there are many various animals around the animal merchant.
2. “The Animal Merchant protects the people and their basic needs.”
We will add this sentence to the part numbered two. I imagine the first man in this illustration and a “cigar” (puro) in his mouth. I will remember it from the sound similarity between the word “puro” and “protect.” The animal merchant is trying to hold on on this cigar and is struggling not to fall, and he is thinking about why this man is smoking a cigar before meeting his basic needs. He shouts to other people, "I am trying to hold on here to protect you and your needs."
3. “The Animal Merchant builds homes up and down the world.”
In the part numbered three, we see the head of the second man. This man is the first bald man. I imagine this head in the shape of the world. On this smooth sphere, the animal merchant has gathered all his animals around him and is building homes. He runs up and down and builds homes “up and down” (all over) the world.
The Importance Of Using Paper And Pencil And Struggling With Laziness
Working like this is actually very difficult for me. I mean, I am working on a Word file, and what I really need is definitely a real paper and pencil. I really love working on paper very much, but when I do so, a second job comes up for me: writing everything again from my notebook to the Word file. I do not know, but my job is not to be lazy, of course. Whenever a sentence like “this job is very hard!” comes to my mind, I immediately remember my purpose. No matter how hard it is, is it not worth it? Food for everyone, shelter for everyone, and of course, “love your neighbor as yourself” education are worth all hard work.
Therefore, from now on, I will first work on paper, and then I will copy these one by one to a Word file. I will even share my manuscripts as photos from time to time. This is not a disadvantage; on the contrary, it is an opportunity to repeat the sentences I memorized in my memory palace. It is the safest way to polish the daydreams I established.
Before adding the fourth sentence here, I return to my paper and pencil and start writing with real letters.
4. “The Animal Merchant shares food with neighbors and other strangers.”
There is a man hidden in the back, and I will assign the fourth sentence to this man. The animal merchant hides among the hair curls of this man and starts distributing food secretly here. While distributing to his neighbors, other strangers also come saying, "We want food too," and he distributes food to them as well. The man to whom I gave the number four hides well to protect the animal merchant among his hair.
Memory Palace As Continuity And Opportunity For Compensation
Yes, I was not lazy, and I wrote everything one by one first in my notebook and then in the Word file by looking at my notebook. I can definitely say that it stayed in my mind more. I will continue this study later. As you see, even if the sentences I added to an illustration remain unfinished, I can continue from another one. The best part of the memory palace is that even if your study is interrupted, you can continue from another station. That is why, if we could not love our neighbor as much as ourselves at this station, we will definitely love them at another station.
