The First Step of Building a Memory Palace
A Method Integrated into Life
If you have read my previous article, I had already written that I took the first step to building my memory palaces.
On this page, I will continue by placing the work into life.
While adding the header images on the website, I was adding whichever illustration's drawing I had finished in those days.
I was not sure if I should continue the same attitude since I will now switch to the memory palace method.
I suppose some details will emerge while moving forward on the way.
Who can know which method is better.
If there is one thing I have learned from this entire process, it is that we need to find our own style no matter what, but that the main purpose is the same for all people.
After the common purpose becomes the guaranteeing of the three basic needs, whatever we do will be correct.
Now look carefully at the illustration below; you will see numbers on it.
I assigned a sentence to each number.
I will explain to whom the illustration in question belongs and why I chose this illustration in the process ahead.
First Steps on the Illustration
“Mona Lisa climbs the top of the mountain.”
Yes, this is the first sentence, and I used Mona Lisa as the subject in the entirety of this illustration.
Maybe I can create more complex memory palaces in the future, but for now, I will continue like this.
I will proceed from easy to difficult.
We need to learn English, not just because it is a foreign language, but because this is a difficulty that needs to be overcome, and every difficulty brings progress with it.
And I want to progress, to broaden my horizon, and of course, to become equipped to explain my purpose to the world.
If you are also stuck at a B1-B2 level of English like me—I think this is called a plateau—I think building memory palaces can be effective to skip this stage.
Now let me explain how I connected the first sentence to this part of the illustration.
Mona Lisa virtually climbs the protrusion in this part; she gets very tired but does not give up.
Mona Lisa does this every day.
She climbs to the very top, sweeping the skirts of her dress.
I need to learn the “the top of the mountain” part very well.
Because it is one of the word groups where the use of “the” is most common.
In the same way, I added other sentences regarding “the” and its usage to the picture stage by stage.
“Mona Lisa takes the first step.”
I assigned this sentence onto the other tree right across from the tree.
Mona Lisa takes the first step from the top of the mountain and passes onto the other tree.
She does this virtually with the air of a superhero because this is the first step.
Until I daydreamed this, I could not use the idiom “take the first step” even though I knew it.
For some reason, the word “take” had remained in my mind only with the meaning of “almak” (to get/receive).
My brain just would not understand the word group “take the step” as a whole in English.
Thank God, thanks to this daydream, for three days I have been saying “I take the step” every time I pass from the living room to the kitchen and passing that way.
One day, I will use it in the sentence, “Take the first step to present the three basic needs to all humanity!”
3. “Mona Lisa celebrates the new year.”
I connected this sentence to the giraffe’s fun, curly tail.
I imagined that inside this curl, Mona Lisa was popping confetti, flying balloons, cutting a New Year's cake, and coming here every year to make this celebration.
Creativity And Learning As A Way Of Life
Let’s take a short break here.
Because I had bought a few fabrics, and I will sew a satin skirt in the color of dried rose and a light brown colored coat.
Of course, I cannot do this job in a short break, but at least I can prepare a part of the sewing pattern.
I will also drink tea on the one hand.
Maybe you will also think about the three sentences above and the daydreams you will establish to keep these sentences in your mind.
This is my way of life; doing very different things throughout the day, adding one job to another, but never breaking away from the main purpose.
That is why I love building a memory palace very much.
Once your brain gets used to doing this sport, everything starts to look like a library to your eye.
This must be what they call the book of life.
Everything we do not pay attention to and walk past is waiting there to turn into a memory palace and to educate our body and mind in the direction of the sacred purpose.
Memory palaces prove that even mistakes can turn into beautiful memories and useful hooks, from chaos to calmness, being sure of knowledge.
Social Media And The Sacred Purpose
I will prepare the pattern in a little while, cut the fabric, and take its photo.
We will place other sentences on it as well.
It is both fun, and there is no need for procrastination like let me divide life and do this first, then I will do that.
I continue by experiencing and sharing everything directly.
I pray for everyone who wants to live like this.
I hope all humanity attains the opportunities where they can reach one hundred percent of their potential, and the only thing they want to show others becomes how they organize their life in the direction of the sacred purpose.
Producing content actually overlaps exactly with the definition of the book of deeds.
In other words, you can think of social media algorithms as angels.
They record and accumulate the things we do, and then we are exhibited in the presence of the sacred court, that is, in the presence of society.
Being watched a lot does not mean that we are living in the direction of the purpose, of course.
Sometimes crimes committed resonate more in the public conscience than good deeds.
New Projects And Future Steps
Yesterday, I sewed a vest and skirt suit for a person I love very much.
Or rather, I have been dealing with this job for the last week.
When I bought a new sewing machine, all the fabrics came out inevitably.
You know that I do not give names to protect their private lives and I change the people mentioned in my content regarding their closeness to me.
I sewed the vest and skirt suit you see below from polar fabric.
I wore it and sent my photo to my friend who wanted this suit from me.
Actually, even this can turn into a sort of memory palace.
Because the subject is already very special.
Maybe I will make this photo a memory palace too, and memorize a few sentences on this photo as well.
Now I will wear the dried rose satin skirt and the brown coat.
I will use these clothes while presenting my content regarding the guaranteeing of the three basic needs for all humanity and transforming my life into a memory palace for those who want to learn English in the direction of this purpose.
